Gargash Group, a leading UAE-based conglomerate known for premium automobile distribution, has announced its exclusive GAC Motor dealership launch and debut of the AION brand in Oman, marking a major step for the Omani automotive sector and reinforcing Gargash Group’s commitment to bringing advanced, sustainable automotive solutions to the Sultanate.

The event, held on November 14, 2024, unveiled Gargash Group’s state-of-the-art GAC Motor showroom in Muscat’s Azaiba district, where distinguished guests and media were in attendance. The ceremony highlighted GAC Motor’s latest models and AION’s all-electric HYPTEC GT sedan, marking AION’s official entry into the Omani market.

AION’s introduction aligns with Oman’s new energy transition plan, which commits to zero-emission vehicles by 2050, supporting the Oman Vision 2040 economic diversification strategy. Developed with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, this plan positions Oman as a regional leader in sustainable transportation.

The launch featured GAC Motor’s latest models, including the EMZOOM, EMKOO, EMPOW, GS8, and M8, as well as AION’s forthcoming electric lineup, such as the HYPTEC HT, HYPTEC SSR, and AION Y Plus. The highlight of the evening was the reveal of the AION HYPTEC GT electric sports car, showcasing Oman’s commitment to electrified mobility and Gargash Group’s dedication to seamless after-sales support and comprehensive spare parts availability for an enhanced ownership experience.
